Cycling in 3 provinces

Cycling is a sport that can be done also on an amateur level and requires only a few things: a bike in excellent working condition, water, a spare tire, a cyclist (trying to reach, at least) in good physical shape and a road or a path to grow. And like all the sports, it's something that you learn, you never give up. Something like a cyclist I confirm. And after seeing the general cycling conditions in Cyprus, the time has come to look at various cycling routes as proposed by various competent bodies or by the writer.

Avdellero - Koshi - Kalo Chorio - Klavthia
According to data provided by the Cyprus Tourism Organization (CTO), this 30 km long route and an estimated coverage time of 11-14 hours is part of the European Long Distance Trail E4 in Cyprus. It starts from Avdellero and through the Monastery of Archangel Michael, the Megali Moutti Forest, Kosi, Moutti tou Ziou Forest, Kalo Chorio and Klavthia villages, ends at the chapel of Panagia Stazousa.

Klavthia - Kornos - Delikipos
According to data provided by CTO, this 28.5 km long route and an estimated coverage time of 10 to 13 hours is part of the European Long Distance Trail E4 in Cyprus. It starts from the chapel of Panagia Stazousas near Klaudia and through the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni with the magnificent view of the pancyprian, the heavenly view can be said, and Kornos reaches the neighboring Delikipos.

Delikipos - Lythrodontas - Kionia - Machairas Monastery - Lasagnas - Fikardou
According to data provided by the CTO, this route of 45.5 km and an estimated coverage time of 11 - 14 hours is part of the European Long Distance Trail E4 in Cyprus. It starts from the village of Delikipos and passes through the forest of Aetomoutti, Lythrodontas, the excursion areas of Mandra tou Kambiou, Prophet Elias and Kionia, the Monastery of Machaira and Lasagna, arrives at Fikardou.

Fikardou - Klirou - Kalo Chorio - Farmakas - Stavros tou Agiasmati
According to data provided by the CTO, this 24-kilometer-long route with an estimated coverage time of 11-14 hours is part of the European Long Trail E4 in Cyprus. It starts from Fikardou and through the villages of Kalo Chorio, Klirou and Farmakas ends at the church of Stavros tou Agiasmati. The suggestion of the writer is to follow the Fikardou - Klirou road, at the end of which you turn left and continue straight for about 300m, until you exit Panagia Square in Klirou and see the arch of Klirou in front of you. There you can stop for a rest and find all the necessary services and to return to your route you will simply go the same way back. The European Long Trail continues with the Nature Trail "Stavros tou Agiasmati - Panayia tou Araka".

Limassol - Pano Platres
This particular route does not belong to the European Long Trail E4, however it has its own interest. According to data provided by the CTO, it has a total length of 69.1 km, an estimated coverage time of 7 hours and a high degree of difficulty. It is covered by asphalt road. It starts from Limassol Marina and is headed southwest to Limassol New Port and Zakaki to Asomatos to continue north through Tsarkik Tsiflik, Colossus, Ypsonas, Waterfront Kourris and Agios Therapos, Agios Amvrosios, Vouni, Koilani, Pera Pedi, Moniatis and Pano Platres, and an uphill slope of up to 11%, ends at the High Tree, where it can be connected to the Troodos Cycle Route Complex.
