The Limassol Municipality in order to promote the maritime tradition of the city and with the redevelopment of the Molos promenade obtained a wooden fishing boat "Lambousa", which will be on display on a special jetty that has been constructed from May to October. During the other months it will be taken back to the old port for protection from the weather. The fishing boat "Lambousa" is 25 meters long and has a capacity of 48 tons. It was built in 1955 in Piraeus and was registered in Famagusta in 1965. The boat was named after the occupied village of the owner. Guests have the opportunity to be guided inside the boat and learn about nautical and fishing gear.
