Kalopanagiotis
It is one of the most interesting mountain resorts in Cyprus and is located 70 km from Nicosia and Limassol. The attraction, among others, is the monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis, which is on the UNESCO list of churches. Also, in the village there are thermal springs located near the banks of the Setrachos river next to the Venetian bridge. The healing properties of the sulfuric waters of Kalopanagiotis have been known since ancient times and the water of the springs is still used for thermal baths.
Kakopetria
It is about 55 km from both Nicosia and Limassol and is one of the largest villages in the province of Nicosia. The most picturesque and beautiful part of the area is Old Kakopetria and today it is located on the western side of the community and is surrounded by two rivers, Karkotis and Garillis. The narrow streets and picturesque houses offer relaxation and tranquility and an alternative lifestyle in nature. Very close to the village are the Caledonia waterfalls which are among the highest in Cyprus. Myllomeris is located at a distance of one kilometer from the starting point of the nature trail. They are the most famous waterfalls in Cyprus and receive thousands of visits a year – a phenomenon that is truly admirable.
Lofou
At a distance of 26 km northwest of Limassol, it is built amphitheatrically on hills, to which it owes its name. It is one of the most famous wine villages. The Nature Trail is a paradisiacal landscape that allows visitors to wander if they visit the village, with an area of about one kilometer. The trail starts at the location "Jillaka" and ends at the village's tap. A stop for Cypriot food in one of the community's taverns is mandatory.
Lefkara
Lefkara is located on the southern slopes of the Troodos mountain range, at a distance of almost 40 km from the city of Larnaca. It is one of the most well-known villages in Cyprus, famous for its embroideries, Leukaritika, as well as for its silversmithing. It is administratively divided into two parts, Pano Lefkara and Kato Lefkara. It is worth a walk through the village's alleys, between the houses with the tiled roofs and the picturesque courtyards. Among the important attractions are the Folklore Museum, the old fountain and the old olive mill. The village also has beautiful and ancient chapels, such as the church of the Holy Cross and the chapel of Archangel Michael in Kato Lefkara.
Askas
A village in the province of Nicosia that maintains its traditional character, with beautiful narrow streets, stone walls and tiled roofs. The village is built uphill, with many narrow streets and crossroads. It also has various churches such as the Medieval Church of Saint John the Baptist and the Church of the Holy Cross.
Palaichori
The village in the Troodos mountain range is divided in two by the river Serrahis, which originates from the mountain Papoutsa. The village offers the opportunity to stay in beautiful traditional houses. In addition to the churches, the picturesque square of the village is a necessary stop, the Museum of Byzantine Heritage, the hideout of Grigoris Auxentios and the Statue of the Cypriot Mother.
Kalavasos
It is located at an altitude of 80 meters in the Vassilopotamos valley, approximately 40 km southwest of Larnaca. It is worth visiting the church of Panagia Titiotisa as well as the 6 chapels, walking through the stone-built streets and also in the Community Park where you will find the train that transported the workers to the quarries. In the area there is a water mill, an olive mill and a flour mill
Kato Drys
A favorite destination in the province of Larnaca, it includes two museums, the Agricultural Museum and the Bee and Embroidery Museum as well as two important churches, the Virgin of Eleusis and Agios Charalambos. It also belongs to the lace villages, together with Lefkara.
Vouni
Beautiful, picturesque village in the province of Limassol and the region of wine villages. It is built on a south-facing slope with a rich architectural heritage and wild vegetation. It is worth going to browse its alleys, taste its flavors and relax in its tranquility.
Farmakas
Located in the heart of Cyprus, this is a beautiful, traditional mountain village. at 950 meters above sea level, and is the tenth highest village in Cyprus. It is surrounded by the magnificent Troodos mountain range. At a distance of 40 km southwest from the capital, at its southern end, Farmakas is in a unique location on the border of 3 provinces (Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca). It is worth visiting the church and the miraculous icon of Saint Irene the Great Martyr as well as the fountain of Mangous, a stone fountain, built in 1857, and admire the view from above from the Koskina viewpoint.
Pedoulas
At an altitude of 1100 meters you will find the picturesque village of Pedoulas. Drenched in the pine and cherry trees for which it is known, the popular destination offers rich history and peaceful scenery. The history of Pedoulas dates back to Byzantine times. Until the end of World War II, the village was a pioneer in tourism and cherry production, making it the cultural and commercial center of the Marathassa region. The Pedoulas Byzantine Museum houses 13th century icons and holy relics and visit the chapel of Agios Onofrios in the center of the village, the chapel of Agios Panagiotis, the chapel of Panagia Vorini, the chapel of Agia Paraskevi and the chapel of Agios Georgios from the 14th century . Most notable of all is the Church of Archangel Michael which dates back to 1474 and is included among nine other churches as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
