Kellia is a beautiful and picturesque village in the Larnaka province.

Church:
In Kellia dominates the temple of Saint Anthony, which is considered a significant Byzantine monument of the 9th century. In the 10th century the Mameluki Turks looted the village and together caused extensive damage to the temple.Photo: Round&Round magazine

In 1500 A.D. as in 1975 the church was repaired and important frescoes dating back to the 9th until the 13th century A.D were preserved.

Just outside of Kellia there is a beautiful place where there are carved chapels on rocks made by Mr. Hercules Vasileiou.

Population:
According to the 2011 census, the village of Kellia had 387 inhabitants. Since 1959, only Turkish Cypriots, who were forced to move to the north in 1975 after the Turkish invasion, lived there. In 1976, Greek Cypriot refugees were settled there.
