THEME: ‘AFIPNISIS’ (translation: ‘SPIRITUAL AWAKENING’)

The ‘Alsos Festival’ is the new and unique cultural festival, taking place in Pafos for the first time on Sunday 8th September. It will be held in the Alsos Gardens in the heart of the Old Town. The event is designed to celebrate and support all kinds of Art Expression, in conjunction with the attempt to awaken people’s consciousness and immerse the human senses entirely into a variety of activities and artistic performances. An initiative to help people return back to nature, discover and change themselves in order to create motion for a better world!

Art, Documentary & Music
Feed your soul with a freshly made health juice before heading to the Awakening Cave for an enlightening documentary journey. A rich selection of informative clips will be shown on a projector screen, relating to topics that require increased awareness in everyday life. Artists and craftspeople are invited to display their art for sale and the bar will be open playing chilled music for those who just want to kick back and relax. Grab yourself a snack, a drink or head to the Zen space for a professional Indian Head Massage.

Aerial Yoga - Pilates, Yoga & more…
At the same time, an excellent programme of practical activities will be actioned throughout the park and the option to participate, or enjoy the show, is entirely your choice. Yoga, and Aerial Yoga / Pilates are just a few of the early activities that will be going on.

Inspirational Talks, Shadow Theatre & Seminars
From 6 pm onwards, Shadow Theatre "Karagkiozis" will start on the Main Stage. Furthermore speakers from all walks of life will have the opportunity to share their views with you, the audience. Do you have something interesting to share? The Awakening Cave is yours.

Street Food & Live Music
Later, an international selection of street food stands will be open to fuel us for the evening ahead. Let the party begin at the Concert Stage to include an authentic mix of live music performances and acts. The rest of the evening will be for you to release your inner wild child and dance the night away in a natural and beautifully-lit garden setting.
