The first church of the settlement was dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Savior

Anthoupoli is just ten kilometers from Nicosia. According to the 2001 census, Anthoupoli has 2487 inhabitants. Many of them are working in the capital due to their short distance. Thus, there are some employment opportunities, although limited within the settlement.

The first church of the settlement was devoted to the Transfiguration of the Savior and was initially resurrected. It operated for the first time in 1978. Only two years after its operation it was repaired. There is also a small chapel dedicated to Saint Irene Chrysovalantou. In the center of the settlement there is a shopping center with a grocery store, café, butcher shop and other shops.

The first schools were built in 1977. Later, the municipal school was extended and thus in 1981, it was divided into A and B circles. Primary School is located in the center of Anthoupolis, near the settlement. School pupils are mainly refugees residing in the settlement.
