The natural beauty of the gorge of the Eagle nests  is visited by many visitors daily

Peristerona is a small village located in the Pafos District, 9 km south of Polis Chrysochous. It got its name from the many pigeons that existed in the glades in the gorge Atikhoulis, which is very close to the village. The inhabitants of the community are around 198 after the last census in 2001.

In Peristerona there is the church of Agios Mamatos, located in the center of the village, as well as the Arsinoe Archbishopric, which is next to the church.

The natural beauty of the gorge of the Eagle nests located in the community of Peristerona is visited by many visitors daily. In the gorge of the Eagle nests are the hideouts and the bust of Evagoras Pallikarides.
