Timi

Timi

Probably the name Timi took it from prices given in honour of the Goddess Aphrodite

Timi village sits between Mandria and Anarita Village about 16km east of Paphos, about 25 minutes from Limassol and 10 minutes from Paphos town. It is also close to Secret Valley, Aphrodite Hills and the fantastic golf course, spa and restaurants there. Timi also has taverns, supermarket, bakery, butcher and a few small kiosks and fruit stands nearby. Timi village is home to a bustling open air market where vendors sell everything from books to fruit and vegetables.

Probably the name Timi took it from prices given in honour of the Goddess Aphrodite, Timia, as she went to her gardens in Geroskipou from Kouklia.

The mosque of the village was formerly a Christian Byzantine church of Agia (Saint) Sophia. It is believed that it was once completely painted internally but its hagiographies were covered with plaster. The main church of the village of Agia (Saint) Erini is modern and is located in the center of the village.
