Trachypedoula is about 20 kilometres from Paphos and approximately 60 kilometres from Polis. Trachypedoula is a small village.

There are no tavernas or restaurants in Trachypedoula but there are two coffee shops and two supermarkets. There is no school in this traditional village, the nearest one being a 20-minute drive away. The nearest hospital is in Paphos but a doctor does make a weekly visit to the village. Being close to the Troodos mountains, there are fantastic inland views as well as sea views. The nearest dam for a spot of fishing is Asprokremos and for golf fans there are two nearby courses, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills.
There is a yearly festival in Trachypedoula which takes place in August. The villagers provide all the food and drink and everyone is welcome to join in the dancing, and even to sing, if you dare.

Traditional village life is still in evidence in Trachypedoula and can be seen in the architecture of the buildings and in the use of oxen for the cultivation of the rough landscape. Peace and tranquillity at Trachypedoula are guaranteed, so if you want to leave the hectic pace of city living behind, you have found the right location.
