Droushia

Droushia is ideal for agrotourism

The village of Droushia is located in the province of Pafos, at an altitude of 630 meters, in the mountainous area of Laona. Its location perfectly justifies its name from the cool breeze coming from the Akamas peninsula, from the Greek word "δροσερό" (cool).

The traditional character of Droushia is preserved through the stone houses with carved doors and windows, as well as the narrow streets of the village, offering stunning views of the hillside and the coast. Droushia is ideal for agrotourism and the village offers accommodation in many small hotels as well as in some stone houses of the village.

The taverns of Droushia are also known for their excellent local Cypriot cuisine and the warm welcome they offer to residents.

Droushia is also important from a religious point of view, as it is the ancient monastery of Saint George of Nikoxyliti, built in the 15th century. In 1923 it was rebuilt after its destruction by fire.
