Due to the privileged geographical location, the natural beauty and the serenity, the village has attracted many Cypriot and foreign residents.

Armou is a village in the province of Pafos. The village of Armou is built on the slopes of the mountain at an altitude of 350 meters from the sea and 4 kilometers from the city of Pafos. It has an unbelievable view of the sea from the Petra tou Romiou to the Coral Bay.

The area was inhabited since pre-Christian times and excavation finds are found in the Pafos Museum. The village of Armou seems to have taken its name from the first settler of the area called the Armos. During the recent census in 2010, the population of the village amounts to 800 of which 650 are permanent residents.

The church of Agia Varvara, which is built on the outskirts of the community, dominates the area. Apart from the church of Agia Varvara, in the village of Armou, there is the ruined chapel of Agios Georgios in which there are few hagiographies and the ruins of the churches of Agios Avakieros, Agios Dimitrianos, Agios Tychonas and Agia Mavri. Recently, the church of Agia Marina was built.
