Agios Ioannis Nicosia is 18km away from the capital. It is a village with a tranquil view, which is seen in all its grandeur from the high hill of Korakas. It is worthwhile to travel to the magic of nature overlooking the view from the Koraka hill, located in the northeast of the village. The name of the village according to the Great Cypriot Encyclopedia, is marked on the old maps under the name "S. Jean".

The village of Agios Ioannis in Nicosia has a steadily growing population, due to its geographical position. In particular, many residents and young families choose to live in Agios Ioannis of Malounta because it is close to the capital but away from the city's hustle.
