   Demetris Kyriakou was born in Strovolos, Nicosia on 14th October 1986. His family lives in Lympia and he has one brother and one sister. At age 8 he started playing at his village team football until the age of 14. After entering high school he started playing for APOEL F.C. academy and at the age of 17 he was promoted in the senior team of the club. He was sent on loan in several teams in order to gain experience. He won many titles with the team and was part of the team which qualified for the Champions League group stage for the first time in the club's history. In 2011, he left the club to join Anagennisi Deryneias, during their spell in the first division of the Cyprus championship. He spent one year at the club and in 2012 he signed for AEK Larnakas. In 2013 he signed contract with Ethnikos Achnas for one year and from 2014 until today he is playing for ASIL Lysis. He was also a part of all Cyprus National teams until under-21.

   Demetris Kyriakou has a Bachelor degree in Sports Management studying from 2006 until 2011 at the University of Nicosia. He worked as part-time at S.M. Champsports Management LTD (specializing in activities particularly in football and sport in general) in 2013-14. From September 2015 he is a coach at Football academy "Φάρμα" and from January 2016 he works as a part-time sales person at Tutto Firmato, a clothing store in Nicosia. In April 2016 he signed a contract with CyprusAlive as a blogger.
