As we wandered through the lively streets of Ayia Napa, we couldn’t resist returning to one of our all-time favourites, Raphael’s Restaurant Tavern. This visit, however, had a special twist: we were eager to explore the vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options we had heard such glowing reviews about.

The moment we settled onto the spacious balcony, we were embraced by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Soft tones, charming green checkered tablecloths, and the surrounding greenery created the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable meal.

Each dish that arrived at our table was a revelation. The flavours were vibrant yet harmonious, the freshness of the ingredients shone through with every bite, and the elegant presentation made it impossible to resist capturing a photo before indulging. It quickly became clear that dietary restrictions did not limit flavour, in fact, every choice highlighted creativity, skill, and genuine care.

And of course, we couldn’t leave without ringing the bell at the entrance a playful tradition that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Raphael’s. This time, though, the sound carried an even deeper satisfaction: the joy of discovering that vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free dishes can be every bit as indulgent, flavourful, and unforgettable.
