Bicycle road in Nicosia?

Of course we have! (Part A) - Kaimakli

Part A'

As a bicycle - lover, I start writing this group of articles to share with you my passion, the places to use our bicycle, how we can get there, how we can solve any problem and many more parts of our mutual passion that is called "cycling"! We start with bicycle roads, in group of five.

Important note: The bus lines are mentioned indicatively. Bicycles on public transport in Cyprus as luggage for transfer is not allowed unless they are foldable.

Synergasias street
Recently renovated street, part of the ex Cyprus' Railway. It gets covered by bus line (148). Nearly you can find a convenience store, a bank with ATM and restaurants. You can see it on the map here.

Kaimakli Linear Park Phase A'
The middle part of a bigger bicycle road, who starts or finishes on the previous bicycle road, it passes by a park who includes kids' playgrounds, pedestrian road, benches under the trees and a Citizen's Service and Information Office, of Nicosia Municipality. It gets covered by a bus line (148), on the next street (Smyrnis street). You can find it on the map here.

Kaimakli Linear Park Phase B'
The first or last part of the same bigger bicycle road, it continues on the second part of this park, who includes kids' playgrounds, pedestrian road, a basketball playing field, a football playing field and benches under the trees. Nearly you can find a second football playing field and a supermarket. It gets covered by a bus line (148) on the next street (Smyrnis street). You can find it on the map here.

St. Hilarion's street
Also recently renovated road, used usually as a commercial way, is the connection between Kaimakli - Aglandja, East Nicosia, and Nicosia - Larnaca - Limassol highway.  Nearly you can find a cafe, convenience stores, a bank with ATM and gas store with installation for tires check and inflation if needed. On BATA roundabout starting or finishing point, it connects with the next bicycle road. It gets covered by three bus lines (140), (148), (215). You can see it on the map here.

Bicycle road of Pallouriotissa
The road for use only by bicycles and pedestrians. Besides that it's next to main streets, it shows all the quiet and beauty of Cyprus' modern neighborhood, and I promise you will love it! On the way, you will find convenience stores, cafe, fast food, supermarket and other shops. It gets covered by four bus lines (140), (148), (215), (259). You can see it on the map here.
