Bicycle road in Nicosia? Or Larnaca?

Of course we have! (Part O) - Strovolos, Larnaca and Leivadhia

As a bicycle lover, I start this group of articles to share my passion, the spaces where we can use our bikes, how we can get there, how to solve any problems and many more parameters of our mutual passion who's called cycling! We had start with cycling paths, in groups of five.

Necessary note: Bus routes are showed indicatively. Bicycles in public transports of Cyprus are not allowed, unless they are foldable.

Ayiou Meletiou street, Archangelos
Pedestrian and cycling paths complex, whom around pass 6 bus routes (100, 115, 127, 211, 250) in a total length of 4.7 kilometers, and you can see them here and here in map.

Ammochostou Avenue, Leivadia
Beach parallel pedestrian and cycling path with sea view, where 6 bus routes are passing (419 timetables and map, 424 timetables and map, 425 timetables and map, 711 timetables and map, 712 timetables and map, 714 timetables and map), in a length of 2.3 kilometers, which you can see here on the map.


Athenon Avenue (Phinicoudes Promenade), Larnaca
Parallel pedestrian and cycling path, which depending on the cyclist's mood can be used either on the beach side or on the restaurants' side, starts from the Zenonas' bus station's exit or entrance of the Larnaca Municipality's large free parking space, where the "park and ride" system can be used, but in any case its use must be done with caution due to the frequent movement of cars and buses, then passes by more parking spaces and ends at the western end of Athinon Avenue, in front of Larnaca's Medieval Castle. It has a total length of 1320 meters and you can see it here and here on the map.

Alexandrou Panagouli street, Livadia
Parallel pedestrian and cycling path, who gets covered by one bus route (418 timetables and map), has a total length of 1 kilometer and you can see it here on the map.

Andrea Stylianou street, Livadia
Parallel pedestrian and cycling path, on the south-western side of which was for many years the famous, mostly for the Larnacians, "flame" from the refineries, a massive "lighter", permanently working, which burned the wasteful remnants of the oil and gas sub-products' productions that took place in the area. This road leads directly to the beach and at its both ends it is crossed by 8 bus routes (418 timetables and map, 419 timetables and map, 422 timetables and map, 424 timetables and map, 425 timetables and map, 711 timetables and map, 712 timetables and map, 714 timetables and map), is 900 meters long and you can find it here to the map.
