More about the event:
"Get Staffed" is a situational comedy set around the opening day of a trendy new hotel. The staff are an eclectic mix of personalities, ranging from a lascivious, nose-blind chef to a confident, militant vegan chamber maid with personal hygiene problems. Over the event of the day, the married yet acrimonious owners attempt to deal with the chaotic events of their newly purchased hotel's grand opening, with often farcical and hilarious results!
The Comedy is directed by David Dimitriou. Following his training at Mountview Theatre School in London, David lived and worked as a professional actor in the UK for around 5 years before answering 'the call' to return to his hometown of Cyprus. Upon arrival, David continued his love of Dramatic Arts through performances in lead roles for Alpha Square, ACT, FotoCine and other production companies. He has also enjoyed teaching Drama for institutions such as European University of Nicosia, the Heritage School and others. He is a founding member of the improvisation troupe 'Board of Directors', who perform improvisation shows to audiences around Cyprus. David's debut as a Director happened at the beginning of 2018, when directing 'A bunch of Amateurs' for ACT, and found the experience hugely rewarding, encouraging him to pursue further directing roles in the future.
