Рождественские музыкальные вечера в Лимассоле и Пафосе

On December 16, 2025, in Limassol and December 18, 2025, in Pafos, two exceptional Christmas musical evenings will take place, uniting the enchanting world of classical music with the warmth of jazz.
The stage will be graced by internationally acclaimed cellist Raphaela Gromes and the renowned Signum Saxophone Quartet, featuring dazzling arrangements by Julian Riem.

Raphaela Gromes, a star of Sony Classical, has captivated audiences worldwide with her highly praised albums Femmes and Fortissima!, which highlight works by female composers from the Baroque era to the present day.
Her recordings have received prestigious awards, including OPUS KLASSIK, Diapason d’Or, and the German Record Critics’ Award.

Known for her thrilling premieres such as Offenbach’s Hommage à Rossini and a new version of Richard Strauss’s Cello Sonata—Gromes has performed in many of the world’s most celebrated concert halls, from Vienna, Zurich, and Amsterdam to the United States, Asia, and Australia.
She has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Prague FOK, and the Swedish Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of distinguished conductors including Kent Nagano, Michael Sanderling, Pietari Inkinen, and Nicholas Carter.
She performs on a rare cello crafted by Carlo Bergonzi, a pupil and successor of Antonio Stradivari, renowned for its exceptional tone.

For more than a decade, Raphaela Gromes has shared a close artistic partnership with pianist Julian Riem, with whom she develops innovative programs and inspires new compositions written especially for their duo.

The Signum Saxophone Quartet, founded in Cologne in 2006, has been described as “the Beatles of classical music.”
They combine the tradition of the classical string quartet with the vibrant energy of rock. Their repertoire spans original works for saxophone quartet, symphonic arrangements, Baroque pieces, and even rock adaptations.
They have performed at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues such as London’s Barbican, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, and Vienna’s Konzerthaus.
Audiences around the world remember their electrifying performances from Christian Jost’s Sea of Ice to concertos by Bolcom and Piazzolla.
Soon, they will embark on an Australian tour with soprano Ali McGregor, presenting music from the 1920s to the 1940s from Berlin to Broadway.

The collaboration between Raphaela Gromes and the Signum Quartet promises a diverse and dazzling program.
George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue will blend classical sophistication with the spirit of jazz, while excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker will transport listeners into the magic of Christmas.
The program also includes Song for Snow by Florence Price, the choral triptych The Snow, Op.26 No.1 SSA by Edward Elgar, Norah Jones’s version of White Christmas, Christina Aguilera’s Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and, of course, Michael Bublé’s beloved It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.

What could be more uplifting for the festive season than an evening filled with music, emotion, and artistic inspiration?
These world-class performers will enchant audiences with their mastery, guiding them into a musical realm where classical meets jazz and the heart fills with Christmas light.
