A must-visit pizzeria that’ll make you say Mamma Mia with every bite
Crispy crusts, rich pastas, and the warmth of real Italian cooking
There’s something special about finding a place that just gets it right every single time.
That’s exactly what we experienced at Pizzeria Caliano, a beloved spot on the Pafos to Pegeia road, in Kissonerga. With nearly two decades of history and a loyal following, it’s no surprise that this cosy Italian pizzeria continues to win hearts with every bite.
We stopped by for dinner with high expectations and left already planning our next visit. The star of the evening? Two pizzas that deserve their own spotlight, cooked in their own wood-fired oven.
The Caliano Pizza, with its perfect balance of mushrooms, ham, pepperoni, peppers, and oregano, was a burst of comfort and nostalgia, "the taste of Caliano" indeed.
And then came the showstopper: the Prosciutto Crudo. Paper-thin prosciutto, fresh rocket, generous flakes of parmesan, all over a beautifully blistered crust from the wood-fired oven. A masterpiece.
While chatting with the warm and welcoming staff, we were tipped off about the Spaghetti Fantasia, a seafood lover’s dream: king prawns, shrimps, mussels, and onions in a rich tomato sauce. We didn’t try it this time, but it’s first on our list for next time.
Their menu also includes hearty Italian classics like Parmigiana di Pollo, Gamberoni Al’Aglio, Risotto, and juicy homemade burgers (don’t miss the Caliano Burger!).
Though Pizzeria Caliano mostly thrives through Wolt and Foody deliveries, making it perfect for cosy nights in, their dine-in space is just as inviting.
Whether it’s a pizza night at home or a relaxed lunch in their cosy space, Pizzeria Caliano delivers the kind of taste that turns first-timers into regulars.
