Fresh fish in the heart of Makenzy

Everything you truly want from a seaside tavern!

Last weekend, my friends and I decided to spend a special afternoon at Zakos Beach Restaurant, in the beautiful area of Makenzy, Larnaka and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time!
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the location: literally right by the sea, with a stunning view of the endless blue. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the perfect setting to enjoy good food with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel comfortable and welcome from the very beginning.

The menu was rich and tempting, making it pleasantly difficult to choose, as everything sounded delicious! We ended up trying several of the recommended dishes, and not a single one disappointed us:

• Stuffed mushrooms with seafood – a unique blend of flavours

• Fried mussels – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside

• Crab salad with mango – fresh, cool, and with an exotic twist

• Fresh shrimp, octopus, calamari, and cuttlefish – all grilled to perfection

For those in our group who aren’t fans of seafood, there were also tasty meat options, including freshly grilled souvlaki and more.

The presentation of the dishes was simple yet thoughtful, respecting traditional flavours and ingredients. We paired our meal with ouzo, adding an extra summer vibe to the table.

The whole experience was fantastic from the atmosphere and service to the food and the view.

We’re already looking forward to going back, and we highly recommend it, especially if you love Mediterranean flavours and a seaside breeze!
