Alona is a village in the Nicosia District. It is built on the northern side of Troodos at an altitude of 1200 meters, where its existence has been known since the early years of the Frankish rule.
The village is full of hazelnut green valleys. Alona is rich in greenery and in the gardens you can find all kinds of fruit trees and large areas of dry fruit.
There are still traditional stone-built houses of old neighborhoods in the uphill alleys. Also, the village church is surrounded by cherry trees and other trees.
