Bicycle road in Nicosia?

Of course we have! (Part B) - Pallouriotissa

Part B

As a bicycle - lover, I start writing this group of articles to share with you my passion, the places to use our bicycle, how we can get there, how we can solve any problem and many more parts of our mutual passion that is called "cycling"! We start with bicycle roads, in group of five.

Important note: The bus lines are mentioned indicatively. Bicycles on public transport in Cyprus as luggage for transfer is not allowed unless they are foldable.

Front side of Nicosia's School Inspectorate and Pallouriotissa's High School

A pedestrian street under the bergamot trees, delightful for spring, summer and autumn evening's or morning's rides, can remind to you the japanese streets with cherries. There's a statue of Athena goddess. It gets served by a bus line (148). You can see it in map here.

Salaminos Avenue
In the internal bow of this street is a pedestrian side so spacious that fit together pedestrians and cyclists. It starts or finishes on Melina Merkouri's traffic lights and is a part of a bigger straight road who has that wide and comfortable pedestrian side on the internal bow. Is the connection of old Nicosia - Pallouriotissa and Kaimakli. It gets served by three bus lines (140, 148, 259). You can see it in map here.

Stasinou Avenue
The second part of the same bigger road, it has the same wide pedestrian side on the internal bow, along with the park next to Olympiakos' playing field continues from Salaminos Avenue to Omirou Avenue. It gets served by twenty four bus lines (100, 106, 110, 112, 114, 115, 116, 119, 121, 123, 126, 127, 140, 148, 150, 157, 158, 160, 250, 259, Nicosia - Agia Napa - Paralimni, Nicosia - Larnaca, Nicosia - Limassol, Nicosia - Pafos). You can see it on map here.

Omirou Avenue
The third part of the same bigger road, it branches midway in Omirou avenue and Aegiptou avenue, and serves the permanently under construction Eleftherias Square and the Main Urban and Transurban Bus Station of Nicosia, on Solomou Square. On all ways (walking, cycling, driving and public transports) is the link of old Nicosia and the Nicosia city, Nicosia district and all other Cyprus! It gets served by twenty four bus lines (100, 106, 110, 112, 114, 115, 116, 119, 121, 123, 126, 127, 140, 148, 150, 157, 158, 160, 250, 259, Nicosia - Agia Napa - Paralimni, Nicosia - Larnaca, Nicosia - Limassol, Nicosia - Pafos). You can see it on the map here.

Aegiptou street
The fourth part of the same bigger road. Is the one of the two parts of this bigger road, who have bicycle roads. On the near roundabout you can see the antiquities of Pafos' Gate, but you have to be careful, because that roundabout is a part of the buffer zone, with the Republic of Cyprus' and the illegal Turkey's military points being extremely near of each other.
