We enjoyed a delicious dining experience at Salamis Restaurant in Mackenzie, with fresh flavours, attentive service, and a complimentary treat that made the perfect sweet ending.

The first thing that caught our attention was the aroma. The second? The sight of our table slowly filling up.

A lovely selection of appetisers, a refreshing salad, fresh bread, and warm, crispy fries were just the beginning. Because shortly after, our table started turning into a little celebration of the sea.

And then came the difficult question: Where do we start? The answer was simple. Everywhere!

That’s exactly what we experienced at Salamis Restaurant in Mackenzie, Larnaca, where we went for a fish meze and ended up enjoying a complete dining experience.

And just like that… the feast began.

First came the prawns and mussels. Then came the calamari and octopus.

And just when we thought we had already seen plenty, the table was filled with bogue (Boops boops), striped red mullet, and sea bream. Each dish brought its own unique touch to the meal, and it was the variety that made the experience even more enjoyable.

After all, that’s the beauty of a fish meze: you don’t have to choose.

You get to try everything, share it with your friends, and every time you think you’ve reached the end, there’s still something else waiting to be tasted.

And, of course, the freshly fried potatoes disappeared much faster than we’d like to admit!

The little details that make a big difference

Somewhere between the dishes, we noticed something that particularly impressed us.

Our plates were changed so that each new flavour could be enjoyed on a clean plate, without being affected by the dishes that came before it.

And the attention to detail continued.

The ashtrays were also changed, so their smells wouldn’t interfere with the aromas of the food, allowing us to fully appreciate every flavour.

It may seem like a small detail, but in a meal where aromas play such an important role, it’s a thoughtful touch that we genuinely appreciated.

And just when you think you can’t fit in anything else…

This could easily have been the end of the meal.

We were full, we had tasted so many different dishes, and we had enjoyed every moment.

But at Salamis, there was more to come.

The complimentary dessert arrived! Spoon sweets, fresh fruit, and ice cream made their way to the table, offering a refreshing and sweet finale.

And yes… no matter how full you are, there’s always room for ice cream!

What stayed with us after our visit to Salamis Restaurant wasn’t just the variety on the table.

It was the way the entire experience unfolded.

From the very first taste to the smallest detail, there was a genuine sense of care that made the dining experience stand out.

And just like that, a simple idea became our final verdict:

We came for the fish.
We enjoyed every bite.
And we left already thinking about our next visit.
