Apricot jam recipe
A very simple and easy to make recipe for a very delicious apricot jam …my favorite!
All you need is:
1kg apricots cut in halves or quarters (if they are very big)
½ kg sugar
1 lemon juiced
Place the apricots, the sugar and the lemon juice in a large pot and let them stay for about 1 to 11/2 hour.
Bring to boil over medium heatPut the pot with apricots over medium heat and bring to boil stirring occasionally. When it comes to boil keep stirring continuously to prevent the apricot mixture from sticking. Continue for about 30 minutes until the mixture is thick. It will have a nice golden yellow color.
Pour into warm sterilized jars.
Note: Avoid to use more than 2kg of apricots each time you make apricot jam. It will take longer time to boil and finish and it will get a darker color.
