The Lodge: A Taste of South Africa in Cyprus

The Lodge: A Taste of South Africa in Cyprus

An Exclusive Interview with Owner Anastasia Kypragora

Just a short drive from Pafos, there’s a restaurant that offers more than just a meal, it offers a journey. Welcome to The Lodge, where South African soul meets Cypriot hospitality.

We had the pleasure of speaking with Anastasia Kypragora, the visionary owner behind The Lodge, to learn more about what inspired her to create this unique dining destination and what keeps guests coming back.

"The Lodge was born from my passion for great food and genuine hospitality," Anastasia shares. "I wanted to create a space that didn’t just serve delicious dishes, but also offered a complete, immersive experience. My inspiration came from Africa, a place close to my heart, and I wanted to bring a piece of that vibrant culture to Pafos. By blending it with local warmth and premium ingredients, The Lodge became what it is today."

"Our success is based on three key factors: quality, atmosphere, and service. All our dishes are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and we strive to offer flavours that are unforgettable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and unique, with decor inspired by the African savannah. And of course, our team is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for every guest."

For first-time visitors, Anastasia has a few personal recommendations:

"I always suggest trying our steaks, which are grilled to perfection to preserve their flavour and tenderness. And you can’t leave without tasting the Tiger’s Eye,  it’s our signature dish and a favourite amongst our guests. We complement our main courses with distinctive sauces and garnishes that enhance every bite."

Looking ahead, The Lodge has even more in store.

"We’re constantly evolving. Our goal is to keep introducing exciting new flavours and creative dishes while staying true to our high standards. We’re currently exploring new additions to the menu that reflect both innovation and tradition."

Her final message is simple and inviting:

"We’d love to welcome you to The Lodge and let you experience everything we’ve talked about for yourself. One visit, and you’ll see why it’s so much more than just a meal."
