In the old days, a hundred years ago and more there were thieves hiding there and stealing passers-by.

Catacomb Ayia Theklis

It is the little church of Ayia Thekla, located only a few kilometers from Ayia Napa, quite outside the Municipality of Sotira Famagusta. It is known in the wider area of Kokkinohoria and the free district of Famagusta. To the right of the church is the beach of Agia Theklas while on the left will be the Ayia Napa Marina. Near the church a few meters further you will find a few steps leading you through a small cave. Some sources say it is a grave and it looks like it has the shape of a double cross, a shape that we find in the early Christian churches. Most likely, the cave was an underground temple.

Cave of Ayion Saranta

This cave is located on the Xylofagou seaside in the Larnaka province, on a downhill to the bottom of the sea. It has an opening somewhere 20, height 45 and depth 65 feet. There it is surrounded by hard stone, countless fossilized bones. The inhabitants of the surrounding villages used to believe that these bones had to be the remains of early-Christians martyrs who were slaughtered there, until it has been proved after about 140 years that the fossilized bones in the cave of "Saints Saranta" belong to hippopotamuses, living in the area millions of years ago. The cave took its name from the Holy Martyrs of Saranta, the frozen Lake of Sevastias.

Stalaktites in Phini

On the shores of the Diarizos River, in the community of Foini in Limassol there are the Stalaktites at Foini. It is an enchantingly beautiful place. The shores have a height of 30-35 meters. Crystals in red are created on their walls. In the mouths of small caves there are plenty of fine tubular forms of stalaktites. It is very nice to walk there but you have to walk on stones and branches of trees in the river to reach the destination.

The Baths of Rigena

Rigena, with the rulers and the women of her escort, went to the Marathasa River just outside Moutoullas to take their bath. The Chlio

In Moutoulla there is also the Chlio. The word 'chlio' comes from the phrase 'Chliο water', that is, lukewarm water, and they named it like this because the temperature of the water is always lukewarm. Chlio was located a few meters below the Baths of Rigena. There, the women of Moutoulla went to wash their clothes. Chlio was moved in the 1940s to 150-200 meters below, with better access, where a washing place was built. Until the 1960s,  the women of Moutoulla were washing their clothes there.
